PINTEREST BOARD NAME IDEAS
Pinterest board name ideas are very important in achieving success on Pinterest. The name of your boards will determine how people will find you. This is because Pinterest is nothing but a fancy search engine.
Since Pinterest is a search engine, it is keyword driven. That means people will be searching using keywords. The first step in being found is to name your Pinterest board after main keywords. This is Pinterest SEO.

Before I explain, let me tell you of my experience. I have been a member of Pinterest almost immediately after it came out and started gaining popularity. However, I never paid attention to it, until I found out how valuable it was in driving traffic to a website or blog.
I had old board names that I named whatever I wished. The moment I tried the following 3-step strategy, I noticed a dramatic increase in follows, and traffic.
If you have a blog or website that you are promoting, the following I have found to work well. This is a 3-step strategy to find Pinterest board name ideas.
1. BUILD YOUR PINTEREST ACCOUNT AROUND YOUR BLOG/WEBSITE THEME
My blog is based on blogging tips. Because I had been blogging for years before starting this new blog, I had other old boards. I had several review sites that were no longer online. What I did was erase old boards that were not relevant to my blog theme. So almost all Pinterest boards that were not related to blogging tips or online business promotion were erased.
It did mean that I lost many of my followers. However, it was a case of tearing down the old “condemned” building to rebuild on a new, firm foundation.

This is because I recognised that Pinterest is a search engine. Now we know that people search on search engines using keywords. Therefore, calling your board whatever you like is not best practice.” theme=”style3″]
2. NAME YOUR BOARDS AFTER CATEGORIES FROM YOUR WEBSITE/BLOG
Write down the categories from your website or blog. These will be your Pinterest board name ideas. The first reason you will use your categories to name your boards is to brand you as an authority on the subject.
In addition (and more importantly) you will be adding your own pins to each board (category) to get traffic back to your blog or website. So you will be mixing your pins with those of others. Start building traffic to those boards and you start building targeted traffic back to each category on your site.
So for example, I have a category on my blog called “Blogging Tips.” I will create a board on Pinterest called “Blogging Tips” on which I will curate other pins based on blogging tips. At the same time, I will add pins from posts in my blog’s blogging tips category.
This will ensure whenever people leave Pinterest to come to your blog or website, they are targeted. This means they are looking for exactly what your post is about. This increases the chances of making sales or getting leads.
3. FIND HIGH TRAFFIC KEYWORDS ON PINTEREST
Next, go to Pinterest and find high traffic keywords. To do that, simply type the name of your category letter by letter in the Pinterest search box. Autofill will give you relevant keyword ideas. Choose a keyword that has high traffic and closely matches your category. Those are your Pinterest board name ideas.
Use the minor keywords for articles on your blog. See below.
